Outfit Ranks...

Detailed below is the Blood Brother outfit rank Hierarchy.  Members should fully acquainted themselves with these ranks to know who to turn to in times of a situation and more importantly, which role they feel they can perform to the best of their abilities. Ranks are no longer solely dependant on outfit points and instead conform to the tasks and responsibilities needed throughout the outfit to ensure maximum performance. What a foot soldier does on the ground is just as important as how the command structure organize the attacks and manage the troops under them. True to our name, each member is bound by more than just a desire to fight, even the newest of members should feel they share the friendship and willingness to make the Blood Brothers a combined force to be reckoned with.

Ranks are broken into three bands. The first is the "Core", contains the ranks of Recruit and Fraterna and will make up the bulk of the Blood Brother forces. The second band is the "Officer" and contains the ranks of Auxilior, Turmali and Centuria. The third is the "Leadership" Hierarchy and contains the ranks of Ministra and Praetor. They are each explained in detail below.

FIRST BAND: Core

Recruit
Recruit is the rank of those newly invited into the Blood Brothers outfit. Recruits are aspiring members, who have been accepted as having the potential to do well at the challenges we provide but not yet confirmed as a full Brother.

Responsibilities: Prove yourself capable of working within a team environment. No one person is greater than the combined force of a well organized team and given time you can prove you wish to be a part of that team. To advance beyond the rank of Recruit and be accepted as a full Blood Brother, you must acquire at least 1000 outfit points, be active on a regular basis in game as well as available to hand on the website forum and be approved by the Leadership.

Fraterna
As detailed above, the rank of Fraternita will comprise of most of the outfits forces. It is these troops that the enemy is mostly likely to meet in combat, and our allies mostly likely to recognize on the battlefield. Many Blood Brothers may choose to remain in this rank for their entire serving, preferring pure combat on the battlefield over worrying about the details that comes with the responsibility of the higher bands. Honing the skills required for combat is no easy task but those that have done so are deserved of respect. Any Fraterna who feels they are ready for higher ranking in the Hierarchy must notify the Leadership of their intent.

Responsibilities: Kill and follow orders. This rank is for those who enjoy action above all else!

SECOND BAND: Officer

Auxilior
Within the ranks of the outfit these individuals fulfill the invaluable role of the support classes. They comprise all of the elements needed to make a fighting force truly effective. Being an Auxilior is not an easy task, as well as the need to dedicate yourself to assisting the members of your squad in whichever way you have chosen, support must also be given where possible to those we fight alongside. These actions will truly show our intent and as such the thanks and assistance we receive from the friendly forces that cross our paths will most likely be directed towards these individuals.

Responsibilities: Do what ever it takes to fulfill your support role. If you are a medic – keep the fighting forces fully operational, an engineer - make sure everything is repaired and set up defenses, if you are a troop transporter - make sure your vehicle is always ready at the right time for rapid deployment. An Auxilior needs to be able to perform their support role without necessarily being given specific orders to do so. Above all, this role is primarily not a fighting role but one of support and logistics. These are the troops that put another life before their own, to heal and repair and thus ensure the survival and success of our forces.

Turmali
Behind all troop movements will ultimately be found these few soldiers, the Turmali are essential to the co-ordination of the fighters and support classes as a coherent force on the ground. It is through the Turmali that the enemy forces of those who would seek to end us are confronted, stalled and overthrown. Bonding a squad together into a smoothly operating machine becomes their top priority and a vital one in overcoming the enemy.

Responsibilities: Turmali are the squad leaders. Leading a squad effectively does not just mean being #1 with points or kills or experience. These soldiers must juggle the need to lead a squad into combat, whereby setting an example of conduct for those they command, with the ability to keep a clear head and maintain a view of the entire situation. When orders are given out to squads, it is their responsibility to see that those orders are effectively carried out. In the absence of a higher ranking Blood Brother, the Turmali may take on the role of Centuria and as such must be also ready to take on the extra aspects that come with that position.

Centuria
Constantly checking over squad intelligence, situation reports from outside forces and the occasional first hand glimpses, it is the Centuria that coordinate the actions of and between multiple squads. For a Centuria, they must be willing and able to often go extended periods of time without the immediacy of pure combat and the grit of battle.  Instead their world consists of top-down views of the map, scanning friendly and enemy positions, lines of attacks, defensible locations and supply runs. A very few are suitable and willing to occupy this position and as such the Turmali will be frequently called upon to provide the basic aspects of this role.

Responsibilities: Not only a platoon leader for the multiple squads of the Blood Brothers, but an overall battle co-ordinator. Centuria’s should draft a Turmali as a second in command of their squad, allowing them to continue a vigilance on the battlefield while the troops in their personal squad are successfully deployed.

THIRD BAND: Leadership

Ministra
The very pinnacle of the Blood Brother command structure. These solders are the face of our army. Outwardly, they negotiate with other groups and commanders, assist in the organization of  non-outfit forces and maintain relations over any and all contacts with external forces. Inwardly, a Ministra ensures that all Blood Brothers are working to the best of their abilities and should help uphold and be recognized as the virtues that this outfit comes to rely upon.

Responsibilities: Ensure the smooth running of the Outfit as a whole. Organize specific ventures such as weekly events, help maintain the image through the website and Teamspeak channel and hold sway over all members in their individual right and as a group collective. Essentially, everything you’d expect from a leadership.

Praetor

This rank is reserved for the figurehead of the Blood Brother outfit. While the Praetor is also a member of the Ministra, they determine the final decision in anything that may arise, after consulting with fellow leaders. The voice of the outfit, the one taken to task over everything that may arise, all responsibility, all triumph, all bonds, all relations, all begin and end with this one rank.
